Reconsidering your research title

Considering my current working title is Research Paper i really need to work on this

Some ideas

A Foray Into Publishing
Discovering Worlds (corny)
Learning To Write

I am not very good with titles so these still need some work.

What Consitiutes Evidence

Facts given by Professional of their field backed up by peer scrutiny published in their own words.

Somewhat specific but ussually this is what i look for. facts are obvious, if i see i feel or something along those lines i generally move forward with more scrutiny. A professional is someone with some form of recongnized accrediation or experince in their field. For peer scrutiny i feel it's important because if its a topic i know nothing about i probably with assume everything they say is fact, when they could jsut be spouting nonsense. With peer scrutiny or a disenting opinion i know that others in their field either accept what they propose or are willing to take the time to argue a counter point adding some form a of validity to their arguments. Finally regarding it being published in their own words, i think it is important that what they say is not filtered by someone who may or may not have the same opinion, or worse yet not understand what they are editing on to wrongly relay information.

First issue
sentance 1 switches wikipedia and washington but keeps the sentance intact otherwise.
2
Took the second sentace removed some words and braceted information and changed "flattering verbage" to "flattering words"

Took the last sentance from the source and cut out some information information.

Revised version
Wikipedia and its volunteer editors have discovered some political meddling in their service. Reprenative Marty Meehan in a interview with the Lowell Sun Newspaper discussed altering his own Wikipedia entry to potray a more sutable public image. As a result Wikipedia had disallowed any acess to its service for computers dealing with the House of Represenatives on Capatol Hill.

Reserach Matters Comments

I really have no complants, when i need to know something i can easily referance it using this book. The only problem i have is that sometimes certain things are hard to find and it requires a bit more reading than i would like for a quick referance. Also the size is conveinent and i don't know of any other reserach book so I would say keep going with this one.

I wen with a broad intrest but ultimatly it was harder than i thought to get specific. Some time i will have to go back and possibly get more specific with some of these topics

Exercise 9.1 Plagerism and Source Use

I choose to complete the Empire State College Plagiarism Quiz
The first question involved patch writing
The second question involved giving proper credit to images
The third question involves loosing the original article, but properly paraphrasing and including footnotes(got this one right but i did guess a bit)
The fourth question involves programming plagiarism, interesting since this is my major.
Fairly obvious don't reuse code lines or algorithms
The final question dealt with a distinct phrase you come across in an article. The phrase must be put into quotation marks and you must provide a citation to the author.
I got all the questions right save for the last one. I think this is possibly from me loosing interest, but i still took notes as to why i got it wrong.
